Well hello there. This is the beginning of what will hopefully be a journal type blog for me. So lets start with who I am.
I was born in Vancouver, BC at the old Grace hospital. I grew up in both Van city and Surrey. School was nothing but a social experiment for me. Every report card I ever received said, "Refuses to sit straight in her desk." and "Talks to much." To this day, I refuse to sit straight in a desk and on most days I talk far too much.
Grade 7 was a defining year for me. It was where I really realised how cruel people can be. I went from being one of the most popular kids in school to the "whale". This is where I believe my complex started. Looking back at pictures, I was a bit on the "chunky" side, and being in a brand new school, where the kids were all malnourished, of course I was to become the one everyone made fun of. I had this Dr who told me that everything that was wrong with me, was because I was fat. This still lives inside me to this day.
Going into high school was another thing all together. The first year, as with many, was spent mostly trying to figure out where my classes were, and who I really wanted to be associated with. I was still hanging around with the mean kids from grade 7 so of course...I turned into a bit of a bully. The funny thing is, the two girls who i bullied the most, ended up being 2 of my best friends the rest of the way through school. Sadly, I didn't make it through high school. I will go into detail at another time, as it will be a whole story in itself.
At some point during high school I went straight into party mode. Which again is a whole whack load of other stories to be told at a later date. Lets just skip right over that and bring me to where I am today. I am 31 yrs old, I have 2 amazing children(Gabriel, 4 and Abigael, 2), and I have the best husband a girl could ever ask for. Really, all i need now is a white picket fence! We are about to move to Kelowna and are all very excited/nervous about it. Life has been nothing short of an adventure and I look forward to sharing what stories I can remember with anyone who wants to read it! Welcome...to my life.
Margo.
